Give thanks—for being human. Your body is an amazing, complex system that carries you through your entire life. Whether you move easily or have too many aches and pains, the season of Thanks-giving is the perfect time to restore your sense of wonder at living in a human body.

Join Gika Rector for this ongoing series of lessons from the Feldenkrais Method®. Bringing attention to your movements, you will build strength, greater range of motion and better balance. As Feldenkrais said, “Make the impossible possible, the possible easy, and the easy graceful.”

Classes are suitable for almost all fitness levels. Willingness to lie on the floor and in interest in moving more easily are really all you need.

Journal Making
August 10, 2019

Date and time

Saturday, August 10, 2019
10 a.m.–4 p.m.

Description

Felt journal making is a great way to tap into our creativity. Come learn to combine richly colored wool fibers into a journal cover, select journal papers, bind your journal, and, of course, use your new journal to explore fresh ideas and pathways. All materials will be provided, and all experience levels are welcome. Just bring your curiosity and willingness to play—and perhaps your favorite pen.

Lisa Rose is an accomplished fiber artist based in Spring. She began crocheting at her grandmother’s knee at the age of six. With a love for all natural fibers, she spins, weaves, knits, and felts and creates one-of-a-kind pieces for the body and the home.

Gika Rector has been a fiber artist for more than 20 years. She combines creativity, her education in psychology, and her role as a personal coach and Feldenkrais practitioner to facilitate transformation in individuals and organizations.
