Join Gika Rector for this Awareness Through Movement® workshop and move with strength and grace. Beginning with gentle, guided movements you’ll find more strength and power in your feet and legs than you might have thought possible.

It seems counterintuitive in our hard-working culture that the easy way might be better, but in this case it really works. As a black belt in Judo, an athlete and a scientist, Moshe Feldenkrais (founder of the Feldenkrais Method®) understood how to develop strength, efficiency and elegance in human movement.

Awareness Through Movement® lessons help you slow down and notice how your body gets things done. Bringing mindfulness to your movements, you will build strength, greater range of motion, and better balance. As Feldenkrais said, you will “Make the impossible possible, the possible easy, and the easy graceful.”

Classes are suitable for almost all fitness levels. Willingness to lie on the floor, and an interest in moving more easily are really about all you need.

When we think about bone health we start talking about weight bearing and working hard, building muscle and getting stronger. What if lightness and ease were at the heart of bone health and maybe even at the core of general well being? What if improving bone health could be fun and easy?

Join Gika Rector for this exploration of Bones For Life® (BFL), a program developed by Ruthy Alon to promote bone health and skeletal alignment. Through gentle, natural movements you’ll feel taller, lighter and more balanced. You might even have a little more spring in your step.
