Description

Core Moves—Core strength, core awareness, core stability! What’s that all about, and what do you really need to know about it? Find out how you can move from your center, with both strength and flexibility.

Join Gika Rector for this three week series of Awareness Through Movement® lessons and reach into summer with strength and grace—literally and metaphorically. Beginning with gentle, guided movements you’ll find more strength and power coming from your core than you might have thought possible.stretch

It seems counterintuitive in our hard-working culture that the easy way might be better, but in this case it really works. As a black belt in Judo, an athlete and a scientist, Moshe Feldenkrais (founder of the Feldenkrais Method®) understood how to develop strength, efficiency and elegance in human movement.

Awareness Through Movement® lessons help you slow down and notice how your body gets things done. Bringing mindfulness to your movements, you will build strength, greater range of motion, and better balance. As Feldenkrais said, you will “Make the impossible possible, the possible easy, and the easy graceful.”

Classes are suitable for almost all fitness levels. Willingness to lie on the floor, and an interest in moving more easily are really about all you need.

Fee

– Three session series: $45 early bird pay, $55 after.

– Single sessions: $20 online or at the door.

– You are encouraged to commit to all 3 sessions to receive the biggest benefit.
